It was some years ago that I first made my Himalayan Pink Salt hot chocolate drink. Inspired by the concept of the drink named xocolat or kukuh an aromatic, cocoa beverage favoured by the 16th century king of the Aztecs, Montezuma. Made from roasted cocoa beans ground together with black pepper or dried chilli toasted peppers.
This ancient drink was considered good for general health and wellbeing. It was consumed by warriors before battle to give them energy and focus.
